Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

Back in 2000 I preached at a Methodist church. The scripture for that Sunday was this:

Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.

I feel sure the congregation was confused as I never discussed the scripture until the last minute when I said, “Peace will come to Jerusalem when the Prince of Peace comes to Jerusalem.”

Now more than ever my sermon could be called a prophecy. Never has the peace of Jerusalem seemed more endangered. Some modern prophets believe Jesus (Yeshua) will be accepted by the Jewish people in 2018 which is the 70th year from the reestablishment of the nation of Israel in May 1948 after decades separated from their homeland; others say 2050.

But all agree it will be in this century. I have no predictions but I do hope I will still be here when it happens.

  1. I was curious if you ever thought of changing the layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so
people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of
text for only having one or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
