But the Presidency itself is a totally other matter. We pray on two different levels – 1- for the rectitude of the government which may require the fall of a faux-president and his cronies and 2 – for the fallen man involved in the fraud. We cannot mix the two. God will not destroy Obama because he is a phony, but he certainly will save him if He can as a human. I have less hope for the “wicked” counselors at his side many of whom are being exposed as we speak, and many will face jail time.
The work is done – in other words we have, as a nation, prayed for a major drastic change and we ware getting it at dozens of levels. The church has done its work – now it is time for God to come thru. We can sit in the stands as it were and watch the game continue. We know, of course, in the end our team wins!
We have prayed for decades about the disintegration of our nation and in spite of what appears to be the victory of evil people. But the end is not yet.
In the NT Paul says we are “more than conquerors” –
Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Conquerors march in a parade with their prey and trophies in chains behind them. God sits in the reviewing stand. As “more than conquerors” we are now sitting in the stands, comfortable. The Conquerors are in the parade. I like the picture. I am sitting back and relaxing but I continue to work for the spiritual reformation of my nation knowing that when America is moral and strong the world will have a mentor to follow.
