Back in 2000 I preached at a Methodist church. The scripture for that Sunday was this:
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.
I feel sure the congregation was confused as I never discussed the scripture until the last minute when I said, “Peace will come to Jerusalem when the Prince of Peace comes to Jerusalem.”
Now more than ever my sermon could be called a prophecy. Never has the peace of Jerusalem seemed more endangered. Some modern prophets believe Jesus (Yahshua) will be accepted by the Jewish people in the next few years. Of course that is not all Jewish people just as not all Christians believe the same thing.
Israel is in a constant state of war, 40 years of war. https://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/ny-edit-the-other-cold-war-20191104-w46sjswy5jeophunlttyzt3plu-story.html
Places where children congregate, like schools and hospitals, have bomb shelters and people have jackets to protect themselves.
We are told to pray, “Come Lord Jesus,” Revelation 22:20 [ I Am Coming Quickly ] He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
Prophets do not agree on when Yahshua will return but all agree it will be in this century.
