If you want to make sense of the Old Testament books, read The Message.
Here, 1 Samuel 13:6-7 we find that prolonged loss in battle finds the Israelites hiding in foxholes.
6-7 When the Israelites saw that they were way outnumbered and in deep trouble, they ran for cover, hiding in caves and pits, ravines and brambles and cisterns—wherever. They retreated across the Jordan River, refugees fleeing to the country of Gad and Gilead. But Saul held his ground in Gilgal, his soldiers still with him but scared to death.
The Philistines had disarmed them.
That describes today’s American culture, turned over to the enemies of not just Yahweh but of a healthy culture. America today is a moral sinkhole. The details on sex-trafficking are enough in themselves but there is also the statistics that 43% of males spend hours watching pornography which encourages rape, incest and every form of perversion – monkey see, monkey do.
Anacharists in charge
A small group of Congressmen and women are trying to overturn the results of a legal election because they do not share the same personal opinions of the current President. There is no crime named in this impeachment. The school systems are teaching socialism by example, and millions of Millennials have few civic skills to prepare them for what is coming, all issues they must eventually face.
Sanctuary cities are enclaves of civil disobedience sheltering the self-willed. Portions of the nation are literally burning up; others have no water. Yahweh Himself said he uses the weather to bring judgment on sin. (See the book of Amos.) And groups of people are so anti-truth they insist they are another gender, something they cannot prove scientifically, and then they demand special policies to support this nonsense. You are what your DNA says you are. Period.
Where is the church
the salt of the earth which is supposed to cleanse the society? Hiding out.
How can we get back into the war. There is nothing in our Bible which says Christians are to be isolated from political decisions. On the contrary, we are to be Change Agents in the world, not just as Christian missionaries in religious work, but as salt and light in business, education, law, social work, food service, retail, nongovernmental operations, transportation, the justice system, prisons, sports, everywhere. Because if we are not, nature abhors a vacuum and the devil will come in like a flood. That is our call to arms.
