God’s Promises Have No Pull Date

As the American population gets older and older, there are more and more years where nothing is planned. Government officials suggest that we extend the dates of retirement and social security payments. People in good health develop second careers and because the health care system is so good, the extension of life means that people live longer in good health and ability.

God knows.

If you were called at a young age to be or do something, do not think you can’t be and do that now.

Romans 11:19 God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty—never canceled, never rescinded.

We marvel when someone goes back to college at 65 and becomes a doctor or a psychologist, or a missionary. But we should not. Everyone knows that life gets in the way. Health, family, war, economic downturn, or any number of interventions into the business of life can put off a plan. If God called you to that, the call is still there. But you must answer it.

You have a promise

God’s promise to you did not go away – it was simply postponed. This is not the time to be discouraged but to restart your life – your personal re-set button.
