Recently there was a small dust-up between John MacArthur, California pastor and Beth Moore, a famous Bible teacher. It revived an age old complaint about women in authority in the church based on a passage which has been for centuries completely misinterpreted.
Thirty years ago there was an awful fuss about women serving in the Church in some official capacity as though they should be limited to the Cs – cooking, choir and children.
The advantage of having years of looking back is that one can see patterns and I see no difference between then and now. Many men do little to move the Kingdom forward and the presence of some women ministers is of meager value as well. Then there are women doing mighty works for God and some men too. In other words, the leadership of the church of God wherever it exists takes on the coloring of its membership. If the congregation is OK with theological basics, fine. If they want something more, they will get that.
The chief argument against women is Paul’s famous requirement that women not speak.
1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.
But he adds something that makes this statement sheer sarcasm. He says, “as says the law.”
There is no mention in the Law of God forbidding women in ministry
Check it out folks; the law of God says nothing of the kind. The command comes from Jewish legal writings known as Mishnah and Gemara which have no bearing on Christian belief or practice, any more than their food laws do. The Law Of God is simply the 1st five books of Moses – Period. The rest is prophets, history, Psalms and worship material and common sense writings. All are God’s word; none is to be thrown out. But neither is anything to be thrown in.
Lesbian women are not to preach and teach, but neither are gay men! The Bible is clear on that. Sin must be dealt with before anyone takes leadership over God’s people.
Paul more than any other writer says nothing under the Jewish legal system has any effect on people under grace – that is we, Christians. He is throwing old Jewish law back at the readers to tell them what path they are on. Paul wrote an entire book, Galatians, scolding them for living under Jewish rules.
So here is what we find. There are many believers who are very comfortable living under the old law. Whole denominations live under the law, as Christians, with little freedom to move forward for the Kingdom. Please remember. That is their choice and Free Will is always the program of God. He will not countermand your desire to live wherever you faith system is comfortable.
My friend Wanda, a missionary to Belize, did all the preaching, teaching and counseling and her husband did all the cooking, an arrangement which brought hundreds into the Kingdom and the natives were happy. You know that kind of arrangement would not fly in many parts of the USA.
There are penalties for living in less than God wants but that is between you and Him. God is used to this law-business.
Numbers 14:4 So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”
When the going gets tough trying to obey God, there is always a group headed back into trouble, sin and death. When we stay fixed in our theology or position, how can we move on? And many individuals, denominations and congregations do not.
Denominational life has its focus on buildings, money, jockeying for position, and satisfaction in what they have. Opening up the ministry to women forces them to change, to widen their tents, and look at the world the way God does. God still speaks to His people within the confines they have set up for Him. He uses everyone and everything if He can. And if He can’t, then He finds other people to do the work.
The decision is not what others want, but what God wants for you. Choosing God’s will for your life leads to an overwhelming confidence. Confidence comes from two root words – con meaning with and fideo, a Latin word meaning faith. If you are with God in His will your confidence will empower you and frighten others. But not to worry, let God handle that.
Beth is right about one thing in particular. God calls individuals to the work He has for them as individuals. It is not the job of human beings to decide or control that. All of us answer to God for the level and sincerity of our obedience. And that includes me as well.

<ga.js>This happened when I was living in China. I was in the mood to cook something at home. I’d tried some local mutton and no amount of cooking could turn what I had purchased into anything easier to eat than my American shoes. Into the trash it went.
Then I headed to a little meat shop around the corner, quite unaware that it was Muslim owned. Little did I know that Muslims are not allowed to sell meat to “infidels” which, according to their religious system, I definitely am. After I saw him in his get up, I was glad to know why I was rejected and I left relieved.
It is against the New Testament rules to eat meat dedicated to a foreign god, in this case Allah. The vast majority of Christians pay no attention to what they buy for meals, believing that the Department of Agriculture has things nailed down in terms of inspection.
However, we have never had to worry about our food being offered as a sacrifice to Allah until now. Alas, the Butterball people have been allowing an Islamic priest to say prayers over our favorite turkeys when they are slaughtered, a clear violation of this passage.
This passage from Corinthians is long but if we as Christians join in with idol worship, we can ruin our public testimony, even though we have no belief that our behavior is wrong. Let Paul explain it. The Message version is very clear.
1 Corinthians 8:3-13
8 1-3 The question keeps coming up regarding meat that has been offered up to an idol: Should you attend meals where such meat is served, or not? We sometimes tend to think we know all we need to know to answer these kinds of questions—but sometimes our humble hearts can help us more than our proud minds. We never really know enough until we recognize that God alone knows it all.
4-6 Some people say, quite rightly, that idols have no actual existence, that there’s nothing to them, that there is no God other than our one God, that no matter how many of these so-called gods are named and worshiped they still don’t add up to anything but a tall story. They say—again, quite rightly—that there is only one God the Father, that everything comes from him, and that he wants us to live for him. Also, they say that there is only one Master—Jesus the Messiah—and that everything is for his sake, including us. Yes. It’s true.
7 In strict logic, then, nothing happened to the meat when it was offered up to an idol. It’s just like any other meat. I know that, and you know that. But knowing isn’t everything. If it becomes everything, some people end up as know-it-alls who treat others as know-nothings. Real knowledge isn’t that insensitive.
We need to be sensitive to the fact that we’re not all at the same level of understanding in this. Some of you have spent your entire lives eating “idol meat,” and are sure that there’s something bad in the meat that then becomes something bad inside of you. An imagination and conscience shaped under those conditions isn’t going to change overnight.
8-9 But fortunately God doesn’t grade us on our diet. We’re neither commended when we clean our plate nor reprimanded when we just can’t stomach it. But God does care when you use your freedom carelessly in a way that leads a fellow believer still vulnerable to those old associations to be thrown off track.
10 For instance, say you flaunt your freedom by going to a banquet thrown in honor of idols, where the main course is meat sacrificed to idols. Isn’t there great danger if someone still struggling over this issue, someone who looks up to you as knowledgeable and mature, sees you go into that banquet? The danger is that he will become terribly confused—maybe even to the point of getting mixed up himself in what his conscience tells him is wrong.
Studying other religions
In addition, there is the issue to studying other religions. We are told not to do it. The same principles apply here too. Someone who is not able to be discretionary about what he puts in his mind may become confused. People with little spiritual foundation can easily get off track with occult information that they are not ready to absorb. You are free to read those books but why would you if there is nothing there but religious junk food?
11-13 Christ gave up his life for that person. Wouldn’t you at least be willing to give up going to dinner for him—because, as you say, it doesn’t really make any difference? But it does make a difference if you hurt your friend terribly, risking his eternal ruin! When you hurt your friend, you hurt Christ. A free meal here and there isn’t worth it at the cost of even one of these “weak ones.” So, never go to these idol-tainted meals if there’s any chance it will trip up one of your brothers or sisters.”
What you are free to do and what you should be doing publicly are two different things. And you can apply this to some concerts and musical events, plays and other creative venues that glorify evil in some measure.
Now back to turkeys. To me personally this is no big deal because I don’t like turkey and I never buy it for myself. But my children do.
But Paul does show how our public behavior can be a stumbling block. Muslims need to know that Christianity does not accept any Muslim doctrine, and since many of them will be moving to the USA our public stance is going to be much more important.
If you think this is nutty, you can read more online about it at How do you like your Butterball turkey?

Political philosophy is based on assumptions about the nature of man. I mean here “Man” as generic not as gender/male.
The Western Worldview
Western governments assumed that man is an imperfect being and that he arrives on the planet flawed, and will live out his life doing both good and evil according to his education, genes, and environment. Judeo-Christian theology follows this assumption and Western governments worked on this premise ever since.
Kings, that is power brokers, took over because that is what power does, but after England (and Europe) went through centuries of wretched leaders and their cavortings, the Americans said no more, and devised a government based on this same assumption that man was not only flawed but that he required a government that recognized the flaws in all men and balanced out their lust and ambitions in planning governance, hence the US Constitution.
The Eastern Worldview
Eastern Man believes that humans are born into a system with a set position in the social order. Up until the Communist revolution in China, baby girls were not given names unless they were born into the aristocracy. Common folk named their girls Sister 1, Sister 2, etc. Communist egalitarianism stopped that. Women were now equal. (Aristocratic girls always were equal.) And everyone was part of a social class where they were stuck forever.
Chairman Mao didn’t do a lot of good but that change was smart. He also required a common language instead of the mishmash of dialects, a change which helped China to enter the wider world. Communism in China broke up the rigidity of this social order.
The Communist Worldview
The third political philosophy and view of man was given voice by Karl Marx who regarded everyone as having no spiritual dimension, but only an economic motive for being alive and staying alive. Philosophically this was founded on the Darwinian doctrine of original creation by evolution, a doctrine which is dying a death with the extensive advances in science. Evolution has only been verified as being inside creation not outside of it after 150 years plus.
But at the time it supported the idea that humans had no life after death and were only interested in the comforts of the flesh. And Europe, always being in a state of flux, sopped it up as well as many other nations where rigid leadership kept them in poverty and want. Communism eliminates at least philosophically any moral code which sounds like fun for a while, but eventually anarchy takes over and the dissolution of a society.
So communism was temporarily successful in many areas but because it failed to recognize the spiritual natural of man, has continued to decay as a choice. The visible collapse of communism in Hong Kong, China is a good example. It does not work for the modern world.
The Islamic Worldview
The Middle Eastern nations believe in the evil nature of man but Islam, which has its roots in Judaism, adds to that the doctrine that Islam will take over the entire world. You can see that this theology is not going to work for the balance of the planet. Most nations will fight off any takeover if they have the firepower.
Worldviews in Isolation
Some isolated societies were not touched by these assumptions. The Quechua Indians thought everyone was evil and going to eat them. Groups like this can’t last. They become destroyed by their own fear. Eskimo tribes lived isolated lives in great harmony, but these exceptions were always small.
There are your choices. You’ll notice it is all based on a belief about the nature of man. As long as these worldviews are in conflict we cannot and will not have international peace and harmony. Nations and individuals act and react based on what they believe in their heart of hearts.
The Bible says simply, “The heart of man is evil above all things and desperately wicked.” And this situation is the cause of wars and conflict from the lowest to the highest level of society.
The lesson we can learn from this is to identify our assumptions because the future of our own lives and that of our fellows will be determined by the one we choose.

This is the single sentence indicating what is required to be saved, that is to find that you are accepted into that group of human beings who will have a place in heaven. It does not indicate anything more than that although you find ministers add a great deal to it.
It has two conditional elements. Nothing God does with man is without conditions except one – that all men are NOT saved just by being born into this fallen world. That is the condition in which we find ourselves. People who do not like this condition must be born some place else, a situation we have not as yet identified.
Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” and <if> in your heart you have faith that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For the observer in this situation there is a separate condition which helps you recognize the validity of the salvation, because, after all, people can say anything easily, even glibly, and not be sincere. For that we have this verse:
1 John 4:2 This is how you know if a spirit comes from God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come as a human is from God.
A person should be able to say this: “I believe that Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh.” I have tested this verse and it works. The person I asked to repeat this was not able to repeat it no matter how hard she tried. No matter, in fact, how hard I tried to get her to say it. She could not, indicating to me that she was not saved.
We have no right to tell people they are saved if they are not.
And we also have no right to tell people they are born again when they are not. For this to happen something quite different must occur.
John 3:3 There was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a Jewish leader. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one could do these miraculous signs that you do unless God is with him.
3 Jesus answered, “I assure you, unless someone is born anew, it’s not possible to see God’s kingdom.”
4 Nicodemus asked, “How is it possible for an adult to be born? It’s impossible to enter the mother’s womb for a second time and be born, isn’t it?”
5 Jesus answered, “I assure you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, it’s not possible to enter God’s kingdom. 6 Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Don’t be surprised that I said to you, ‘You must be born anew.’ 8 God’s Spirit blows wherever it wishes. You hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. It’s the same with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
The Kingdom is visualized in the spiritual eye
The result of bring born again is the ability to “see the kingdom.” Clearly this means to see with a spiritual eye. There is no external physical evidence of the kingdom of God. We must believe this by faith. And as we develop our spiritual senses, we come into more and more kingdom knowledge. Many people never see the kingdom. Of course they will after they die because the heavenly kingdom is indeed where Jesus is King.
But the Kingdom we talk about here on earth is internal. This passage describes heaven, but it also describes a place on this earth where people live in a risen state, because they have found that God is the same here as he is there, and they walk in newness of life. Galatians 3:
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.“
I know many black people who are simply not aware of being black. They are just children of God. They are at home in their own skin. They see themselves as spiritual beings doing God’s work and living out the plans God gave them. That is what it means to be a Kingdom person.
Non-kingdom people do not recognize Kingdom people. Non-kingdom people have qualifications – they look at a person as female, or of a different culture, or uneducated, or gifted, comparing themselves to others. Here is an example of what happens when a Kingdom woman and a Saved man have a confrontation.
Beth Meyer was scolded by John MacArthur who said she should not teach. John is a church person. Church members live under the rules of the natural world with employees, buildings, mortgages, leadership committees, and sometimes stratified liturgies. Those who work together in the natural world require rules.
Kingdom people do not. Kingdom people may have communion on Tuesday night in an Italian restaurant and it makes no difference. Kingdom people are not locked into the natural trappings of religion.
John MacArthur is part of the Church, that group of leaders who take the saved human beings which God supplies to them to teach and guide them into better living patterns. Kingdom people get their orders from the Holy Spirit not other humans.
You can easily see how this confusion can lead to misunderstandings. A woman may marry a man who says he is a born again Christian but after a few years he starts running around with other women. She tearfully wants to know what happened.
“He said he was a Christian,” she moans, and indeed he was saved, just not born again, because the born again person is faithful to the moral law. And that is only one test of many.
How does this mix-up happen? The main reason is that we are all sloppy thinkers. The Bible is well-written and God had 4,000 years to clear up any typos or other problems in it. But we slide over verses, adding information and assumptions to them that are simply not there.
When we want to know truth we must go back to the book.
Simmie and her husband are immigrants from Indonesia. She escaped from China and is an implacable foe of Communism. Together they run a successful beauty shop known for high quality work. They both wear the brown prayer beads that identify Buddhists; both are very happy and fulfilled in their lives. They remember President Ronald Reagan’s defeat of the Soviets and are conservative voters.
I like my appointments early so when Simmie shows up I am already there. She takes about 5 minutes before work to stand in front of the little plastic Buddha in a corner of the shop. She gives a daily offering, which is often fruit, and says some prayers standing there silently. (Buddhists in China eat the fruit for lunch.) Orientals are a quiet sort anyway. Then she begins her work day.
I marvel at this sight. Here is a plastic Buddha manufactured by presses in the Pacific Rim (even by those new copy machines filled with liquid plastic) and painted with fake gold. Sometimes these Buddhas are ceramic and covered in real gold. But no matter. I wonder, “Whatever good will that do? This is just plastic; he can’t talk back.“
Most people, even some Buddhists, don’t know that Buddha did not claim to be God, only that he had the wisdom of God. And in fact, many people are wise.
This is a god who cannot answer.
My God can talk back. I want my God to tell me, “That is a stupid idea,” or – “You are on the right track.” I left Texas because God said, ”Start packing.” I could not be happier with the results of the move. Buddha can’t tell me that.
In China I asked one teacher, a Buddhist, “What is God’s name?” She answered, “Shang Di.” That is the Chinese word for the creator God. Then I asked, “Do you know His first name?” She did not.
I said, “His first name is Jesus.” Last October someone told me she accepted Jesus as Messiah, finally after 10 years. These things take time.
What do we do with the Simmies in our midst? We need to tell them that our god can talk back. Not through a priest, or even a prophet, but directly. I love hearing testimonies of people who have Jesus show up – sur-prise, sur-prise. He will do it. When Christians pray.
King Solomon was asked to decide what to do about two prostitutes who were arguing over a baby. One of them had rolled over in the middle of the night and killed the child. Solomon, not knowing which was the genuine mother, suggested that he slice the living baby in half. The real mother quickly said, “No let her have the whole baby.”
Two Methodist Groups talk split
The news tells us that the Methodist church is facing a division. Falsely reported as a disagreement over equality, it is actually a long coming argument over the core of the church, the scriptures – are they the infallible guide to life and practice or just “good ideas” and “nice suggestions.” Is God’s word going to rule, or man’s?
Jesus predicted this
He said, ” And so your tradition empties the commandment of God of all its meaning. You hypocrites! Isaiah describes you beautifully when he said: ‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honour me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men’.” Matthew 15:6
Methodists lost 50 million members in the 20th century because the charismatic movement took hold. Old time members thought this would drain the church of members if they tolerated this new move; but the reverse happened, the charismatics were the ones with the money and they left.
So today we have the divisions remaining – whether Methodist is Biblical or Secular in its core. One wants the Bible to rule rather than the word of Man; the other wants the word of man to rule. And the LGBT community has no DNA to endorse that their idea that homosexuality is given at birth so it cannot find verification in science which both groups would accept as a valid premise.
The Bible is unequivocal about sin
Meanwhile, the Bible is clear on this subject; all sexual deviance is sin. Sin is a given in man’s condition, but the whole purpose of salvation is to compensate for the sin in man and provide him a way to enter heaven. It does not guarantee a sinless life; only a saved one. But it does mean you, not he, will change, or will decide to change. God doesn’t zap people from heaven to change their future; each of us must make a decision and follow a process.
The other half has promoted a “big tent” for years and has for the most part rejected the absolute nature of the scriptures as the mind of God, until now. The issue has been roiling below the surface for years.
God is not into the Status Quo
This is what happens when you won’t move on. God does not endorse the status quo with churches any more than life in general. “I am the Lord,” He says, “I change not.” Which means that if you want progress, revelation and the blessings that progress brings you, not He, will change. That goes for people, churches, institutions, colleges, politicians, and businesses. The secular world knows this; the church is coming late to the game.
God’s word applies right now
I woke up this morning remembering an event from 1969. I was substitute teaching at a high school when a girl complained that a boy had taken her pencil. She wanted it back. I took the pencil and suggested I break it in half so each could have a piece. She said quickly, “Oh, let him have it.”
I returned the pencil to her and turned back to my desk. No one who owns something of value wants it split in two, even a lowly pencil. I wondered if that pair, today, 50 years later ever realized I had patterned that event after a Bible story. Those students would be in their middle 60s now. Do they remember?
God put His word out there for us to remember when the time comes that He does not change, either Himself or His word. God’s words are condemned as being old, but look how it applied in real life as it does over and over. When He said, “The grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of our God abides forever,” He meant it.
If you want to be a Change Agent in someone’s life, consider this group. https://cfdreamcenter.org/about
Throughout history governments and individuals either succeed or fail due to how well or how poorly they manage the levels of power between them. So the smart student who does not want a pile of work studies history because it continues to repeat itself. They need only memorize the names of the leaders and their various nations and data which changes from decade to decade. Some smart math student could create an algorithm to show at what point this never ending conflict will move in a different direction. History does not know the word status quo.
Governments limit individuals, and individuals seek more liberty.
This is the conflict in a nutshell, balancing the strength of the individual and the long arm of the government. When there is no balance, the nation is out of whack. Every bureaucracy withdraws some liberty from the individual which does not make it wrong, unless it is too much liberty being given up or it was confiscated. The arguments against socialism include this quote from Ben Franklin, “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Liberty lost is very hard to regain.
Every political contest involves these two elements
History shows this clearly. The lone cave dwelling human and his family is a government at the lowest level, but for any progress to be maintained, warfare against a predatory neighbor requires that these family units gather together to form a mutually advantageous group. To do this requires that each person give up to the group some authority, power, and of course money and resources. It requires a leadership team as well. If the team or the leader becomes too strong the society stagnates; if the enemies gain ascendancy, the society breaks up. So the larger the governmental unit, or the more prosperous in the case of the USA, the stronger that group is.
A closed society stays that way
For smaller societies constant mismanagement of resources and unrest keep it in failure mode. Afghanistan has been involved in war for 60 years and is going nowhere. They cannot or will not negotiate a balance between the bureaucracy and the individuals in spite of considerable involvement from other nations, both for good and for ill. It was illegal to teach women for example. The USA forces repeated efforts to stop that and start schools for girls met with guns and knives. This is in spite of well-documented proof that children raised by educated women are more successful than those who are not. But then today’s men would need to be educated before they would know that wouldn’t they? So a closed society stays that way, forever in poverty, isolated and legitimately afraid of their neighbors.
Participatory democracy balances interests
Governments that function best keep this in mind which is why participatory democracy works so much better. When people take part in their government they can cut it down when it gets out of hand. That explains the election President Trump and Boris Johnson.
Today institutions are under fire
Other nations are also seeing their citizens rebel against bureaucratic intrusion. The European Union might be blaming other nations for their inertia but their own institutional bias caused these problems. Some economic prophets say the EU will eventually end, or there will be European anarchy. It all depends on whether leadership comes to the fore to negotiate a peace. Today, 2019, across the planet citizens are increasingly resisting government intrusion and laws.
People locked into institutional mindsets scoff at the “populists” and right wing labels for everything they do not like but when you scrape away the paint, you find it is the age-old conflict between individuals and institutions. In Venezuela the bureaucracy and the army stayed put, and the population left. They became refugees to other nations. In Syria, the government simply bombed the citizens who questioned its behavior. The nation is a pile of rubble today. Both Iran and Saudi Arabia are in a standoff but both nations thought they could embrace and calcify the past. Can’t be done. Time marches on with or without you.
Literature confirms history
This is not new. The Greek drama Antigone (circa 440 B.C.E.) covers the same turf. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet shows how private lives were damaged by cultural considerations, which describes much of European history. The USA has managed to keep individualism front and center even though is has gone to extremes. For example, there is no scientific basis for gender reassignment and this will eventually collapse. It is individualism run amok. When individualism gets out of hand it is called anarchy which degenerates into civil war.
Imperialism is a form of war
Roman Imperialism, British Imperialism, Soviet Imperialism and now Chinese Imperialism all began as economic adventures and developed into chattel societies. All but the Chinese variety is gone, and even that is being tested.
The Pacific Rim is tired of being used; Vietnam was the first communist government to resist the long arm of Chinese presumption. Now Hong Kong is conducting its own, largely successful protest. Of course there are thugs and hooligans involved in all these conflicts because those loners just love a fight, but underneath there is real angst which must be corrected. The individual has suffered too long. The pendulum will swing back but today it is all about war against institutions.
Why History is superior
In my experience there is nothing scientific about Political Science. Politics is often called an art because the individuals must balance the competing interests of diverse and often intractable participants. The Bureaucracy Loving among us do not realize how difficult this is because they conceive as governments having always the bayonet to make their word stick. Individuals have no weapons but they have a voice. The Baltic States won their freedom in the 1990s by singing! They sang in unison and the Soviet masters were too cowed to take them on in spite of their tanks, guns and bayonets.
Investigations of corruption
Currently in the United States the hubris of the Washington Bureaucracy is increasingly under investigation – the CIA, the FBI and the DOJ all involved in an attempt to overthrow the presidency of Donald Trump. The evidence is mounting. Nervous journalists are wondering whether they can personally afford to touch this. Will it mean an end to their career? They could be too close to the bureaucracy and endanger their jobs.
You see how this works. The Deep State is an example of how institutions become enemies of their own governments and people. Many nations do not have corrective options in place. Because of American diversity and freedoms we can handle this kind of corruption, in spite of it taking a great deal of time.
The Prince of Peace
Finally, this blog is about the Mind of God. The Greek plays predate Christianity, so it is not a religious issue, unless you believe the government is God, and some do; or perhaps you believe each individual is god, and that happens as well.
The Bible clears this conflict up for the individual. In the world of the God directed person, God is the government. He makes the decisions based on an omniscient mind and directs the person in the way he or she should go. It is a tricky little dance to keep oneself in the will of God and skirt or affect as the case may be the world and its Institutional vs. Individual war. It means living in the multiverse of the spiritual about which I will have much to say in the future.
With Joe Biden running fir President it’s time to review some sorry information from the past, his revealing the names of Seal Team 6 which led to their murder. This allowed the men to be sacrificed.
Dream interpretation, symbolism and visions are all forms of non-verbal communication (as are music and movies) but they contain messages none-the-less. Frequently we ignore them or spend a few minutes being puzzled and then give up. They need to be analyzed, identified and understood.
Certain basic rules apply. You don’t match apples with oranges; for example, a dream about an animal will not refer to a building unless that building’s logo is an animal. (Geico as an example.)
Biblical Symbolism goes back thousands of years
The Judeo-Christian Bible is a good start because it is the oldest book on this topic and because the symbolism has been well tested over the years. A notable example which has modern application is the sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham 3,500 years ago. (Genesis 22) It is the portrait of the later sacrifice of Jesus and a warning and example of why we are not to sacrifice our children.
Blood Sacrifice for appeasing an angry God
Blood sacrifice is a long-standing principle in all societies. Let us apply this to a modern situation. Soon after Barak Obama ordered the death of Osama Bin Laden a group of terrorists “sacrificed” members of the Seal Team 6 – the group which carried out the assassination. See Deaths of Seal Team 6 Exposed
This was not merely revenge but that they provided Allah, their god, with a blood sacrifice. But who noticed? As far as I can tell, practically no one. But that is the core of any interpretation – the meaning of events. Islamic fundamentalists see this as a sacrifice to Allah since he is the source and destiny of their political religion. It also occurred on August 6, 2011, a Saturday, the high holy day for the Jews. Even though Seal Team members were probably mostly Christian, Muslims still think of their main enemy as Jews. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/9/kuhner-who-betrayed-navy-seal-team-6/ The Taliban took the credit for the hit.
Abortion also is a blood sacrifice
Blood sacrifice, e.g. abortion, is a continuing factor in modern societies from the 13 million per year in modern China to the 4 million a year in the USA, and is a legal or illegal factor in most other nations. It is a practice going all the way back to the Moabites of the Bible who sacrificed to Moloch, the god of child sacrifice. God’s warning to them was that Israel was to wipe them off the face of the earth. Judging by the statistics above that hasn’t happened yet.
Since the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob does not accept child sacrifice, someone else does – Satan. The practice obligates us to him. By-the-by, he feels no such obligation to reward us. Our ignorance of these matters is of no concern. Like a small child who accidentally eats a chili pepper, the innocent act in no way affects the painful outcome – a burned mouth.
5 Principles of Islam
Obama’s flag (see Symbolism – What does Obama’s new flag mean?? http://wp.me/p1otAF-8M) contains a reference to the blood sacrifice which is a core belief in Islamic fundamentalism. – the voluntary death of the believer to please Allah and reach heaven with its carnal rewards. The horizontal stripes on his flag represent the 5 principles of Islam all won with the blood of martyrs, or of infidels. Islam believes and practices the theology which requires either the conversion or death of the infidels – that is, anyone who disagrees with them. Their martyrs’ deaths are proof of their sincerity.
The Sacrifice for Sins already paid
Judaism and Christianity unqualifiedly reject this theology believing the blood sacrifice has already been made – for the Jews at their High Holy Days, and the Christians in the sacrifice of Jesus. That puts these two groups at the top of the Islamic hit list. Jesus warns (Luke 21:20) But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near” so keep your eyes on Israel.
If all this seems arcane to you it is not to the middle eastern mind which has dominated this generation. For Muslims the year they were thrown out of Spain (1492) is just as real as yesterday. That was the same time that Christopher Columbus headed to the new World as a Christian missionary, a fact not often recognized. https://www.amazon.com/Light-Glory-1492-1793-Gods-America/dp/0800732715/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=the+light+and+the+glory+peter+marshall&qid=1561718841&s=books&sr=1-1
Christopher Columbus was a Christian evangelist
Columbus’ first name means in Greek “Christ bearing” and the explorer received permission to take his crew to the “Indies” for the express purpose of evangelism. The fact that he was replaced by Spanish soldiers who brought with them venereal and European diseases does not negate his own better motives.
Islamists believe that they will rule the whole world so of course they want back into Spain. Their theology trumps every other concern. . The fervor of the military mission is enhanced by their 500 year failure to make any appreciable progress. Other than infiltrating many societies they have not managed to establish Sharia Law in any but those nations already committed to Sharia.
A culture that embraces death cannot breathe life into society.
Germany, England, and France originally welcomed Muslims but have changed their minds, seeing the obdurate refusal to accept any of the principles by which these European societies live. That Muslim nose in the tent was a mistake. And where Muslims have infiltrated they have not improved the society. They remain an isolated group, unwilling to change.
Victor David Hanson of the Hoover Institution (http://victorhanson.com/) has good comments on why this failure has motivated them to fight harder.
President Obama set the tone for a Muslim leader
Back to Mr. Obama. Media people were puzzled that his reaction to the death of the ambassador in Libya was so indifferent. He reacted as though it was none of his concern. And truly it is not if he considers himself “resident” of a state, America, which will be subsumed into the Islamic takeover. He flies another flag. The following picture shows a non-verbal verification of this.
But he does pledge the Russian flag. He and his wife do not put their hands over their heart when watching others say the pledge – they do not pledge. Their hands go over their right lung. They are citizens of another country. This is all non-verbal information, hence symbolism.
The America flag does not appear when Obama is speaking from the Oval Office.
With that in mind the “terrorists” who took down the twin towers on 9/11 are actually just helping to bring about the world government of Islam. The terrorists, who attacked the embassy and burned the flag, were not burning Obama’s flag, so why would he stand by America and its employees? If the Terrorists are bringing in the new world government why would Obama, their new leader, condemn them? They are doing Allah’s will.
Candidate Obama told the Media before he was elected that he wanted a society of government control, redistribution of assets, which means rich people will leave and the remaining citizens left will be poor- equally poor. https://www.amazon.com/Dreams-My-Father-Story-Inheritance/
All of his plans are in his autobiography. Mr. Obama placed environment above the interests of people, poverty has increased, joblessness has increased, all part of the leveling process integral to Islamic fundamentalism. Like Marxist China, none are rich (except the rulers) and all others are poor – that is the meaning of equality: Equally in want. I worked and lived in China and that is what they have – and they don’t like it.

We have evangelists 6′ deep on TV getting people saved and revved up. We have music ministries, choirs, and concerts coast to coast. We have pastors working with wounded people and guiding the flock. We have teachers at every level. So how come the church is standing still – noisy, active but not moving forward? I see people focused on the 2nd Coming of Christ which could be 50 years in the future. Today is the day of the Lord.
On these posts I often speak of what is wrong with the church. So far I don’t think I am in the least bit wrong. There is too much attention to the anti-Christ, the rapture, the foibles and flaws of the ministers, complaints about how much money men make (but if nothing is coming in you’ll notice the church folds); there is competition for office, power, place, position and ministry, none of that being appropriate or Biblical I might add. 20 years ago a church in England each week was sold for an Islamic Mosque!
The painting could be today
Vincent Van Gogh, a very serious Christian, painted this picture of a rather unappealing church, dark and obscure. Two paths walk around the church; the paths are clear and well worn. But there is no entry way into the church! That was the 18th century.
Today it is exactly the opposite. The church doors are wide open, people enter in great numbers and often have no idea why they are there. Doctrine is not taught, or if taught, not followed. Consequently the internet can tell many thousands of lies about God, faith, life and death and hardly a murmur is heard because no one is following up on the “converts.” Churches are social places and ministers have secure pensions. This means half of the gospel is missing.
A perishing church
I see the church is perishing despite all this busyness. The scriptures say flatly, we perish for two reasons (1) lack of knowledge and (2) No Vision.
Where there is no vision, the people perish:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:
I used to hear this.
“I have this terrible problem but I know I am, like Saint Paul, to bear graciously as Paul did over his thorn in the flesh.”
There are several things wrong with this interpretation of the passage involving the thorn.
2 Corinthians 12:6-12 (NASB) 6 For if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me.
7 Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! 8 Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. 9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
Can you lay claim to this passage
First, The persons who lay claim to this passage very often (1) do not know the Bible very well (2) have had no great special revelation (3) have not performed miracles, great or small (4) nor in danger of being exalted by their friends and contemporaries, rushing to them for healing and deliverance. Courts call this “standing at law” or justification for your position.
My suffering does not add to Jesus’ suffering
Second, Jesus paid it all. My suffering on my personal cross does not and cannot add to His work at Calvary. It does sound like I am saving myself by my works. There are some denominations which believe that you can pay for your sinful flesh by causing it pain. I think of the flagellants in the Philippines at Easter time marching through the streets at Easter, flogging themselves with whips. Nothing you can do to your physical body can substitute for the salvation of the body or the cleansing of the flesh. All false religion wants us to “do” something. We are called to believe and “be.” Much harder.
There are forms of bragging
Third, their claim not only does not make them humble, nor do they sound humble but it fact it sounds very much like bragging.
God has prlvided us with all we need
Fourth, Paul did not say he was stuck with this problem, whatever it was, until the bitter end. God told him that His Grace was available. Or, in other words, that He had provided for mankind everything they need as individuals and as groups to handle any problem.
God opened up the future
God was opening up to us, the future generations, the option of learning where all these solutions might be found. The 20th century became a major source of advancements in medicine, knowledge, language, culture and political understanding and freedom. It also opened the options for vicious tyrants to take over nations. But the solution was always there whether it was Syria struggling against evil or Dr. Jonas Salk’s polio vaccine which change medicine across the globe. It was all the grace of God, but it was not for the 1st or 2nd centuries but for the heirs in future generations to come after Paul and his coworkers.
That is His message to us. No matter what problem you now have “in the flesh” – God has an answer somewhere. God gives revelation to those who seek Him with unmixed motives. That message goes way beyond any kind of thorn. You can look for yours!
It may well be at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
If you have a chance, watch Secrets of the Vatican on PBS TV. It is worth all 90 minutes. Sixty years plus of corruption, pedophilia, homosexuality, intrigue, money laundering, drug trade and other evils have been uncovered with little contrition. The curia is the governing body of the Roman church. It comes from word roots meaning, ironically “care by” a “noble guardian.” There certainly has been not guarding going on and not noble but venal. Yes, the Roman Catholic Church is trying to do something about it, with mixed results, but it really can’t because so much of the foundation is flawed. The New Testament identifies a number of errors which demonstrate falling away from God.
When God changes his mind, so will I.
God has promised He will do His word. He has not promised He will honor the words of men. It is our duty to know the difference.
And Protestant churches have fallen into the humanism trap too. Secular Humanism is a real political group with a doctrine and devotees. That is not what I am referring to here. Secular humanism is the spirit of compromise that reduces both the Word of God and the effects of sin to a human perspective. In the case of the pedophiles, secular humanists (SH) say it results when priests cannot marry.
Secular humanism always identifies a problem as starting with Man and ending with Man’s doing something about it; so God is not a factor.
In no case is this correct.
God’s Truth & church doctrine often do not match
Truth is always based ultimately on the word of God, because it is the will of God, and evil results when God’s will does not prevail in a man, a society, a nation, and all the groups therein. Pedophilia is not caused by celibacy rules but a direct result of disobedience to God’s word/will. The Bible says clearly “Do not forbid to marry.”
1 Timothy 4:1-4 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;
How plain can you get? Here are more examples of common practice in violation of the revealed will of God.
Truth is Biblical not denominational
SH #2. Correction to church practice and corruption would have begun earlier but the lowly participant in this denomination is discouraged from reading the Bible. The entire scriptures are there for all men to know, read, promote, and live every day. Church believers can be and should be the backbone of immediate correction. They should have the power to be rid of corrupt leaders at any level. John 17:17 – Your word is truth.
SH #3. There is no “special” priesthood in the New Testament. We are all called priests. Each person in the church of Jesus Christ has a function. There are no fancy robes, headdresses, pope-mobiles, red sashes, gold goblets and on and on. No, the first church met often in the back of a restaurant, or someone’s home, or when under persecution in the graveyards of Rome. There was NO MORTGAGE.
1 Peter 2:9 -you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Women had as much right in the New Testament church as males Any differentiation tells us that the group is not “in Christ.” In Christ is where the church is supposed to be; when it is not it is somewhere else – in the world, in the flesh, in the devil, or more likely in trouble. Man is not the measure of reality, unless you mean the Man Jesus.
Galatians 3:27-29 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
SH#4. Believers are not saved by being baptized. They are saved before they are baptized. It is not necessary to baptize babies. They do not need to be added to heaven; because they already are there! They do lose that standing when they mature however; then salvation and baptism are appropriate.
Mark 10:14 … Jesus [said] Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
The Kingdom is where children are right now.
SH#5. There is no purgatory, i.e. a place where people go after death to get their lives straight. Jesus said, “Today you’ll be with me” to the thief on the cross. That ought to be good enough for today as well.
Luke 23:43 And Jesus said to [the thief] “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
SH# 6 Jesus died once. That’s all, never again. No crucifix should have on it a body of Jesus. He left the tomb.
Hebrews 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
SH #7. Yes Virginia there is a devil. Some churches speak of the devil as though he either does not exist or is not a problem. This makes it easier for the demonic kingdom over which he presides to run a muck in our lives. And again, it does not match the written word of God. There are four wills in the world, the will of Man, the will of the world system, the will of the demonic kingdom, and finally the will of God. The first three will pass away.
Christians have a responsibility to know the Bible and what they believe. They should also know what the Bible does not say. God has had 4 thousand years to create His written word and now we have it. And there is a test!
My new hero is Franklin Graham who said simply (I paraphrase) “When God changes His mind, so will I.”
Americans are so separate from the rest of the world and so absorbed with our own problems we cannot imagine the world of 1700 out of which our little nation grew. While Europeans were wearing powdered wigs and overindulging and getting richer as the poor got poorer the American colonists they called hicks, were educating themselves in the classics, learning Latin, Greek and common law, studying Shakespeare’s plays, and speaking French.
Lessons from those who escaped Europe
Here are the lessons those farmers, soldiers and merchants were learning. First, you do not want a leader from one family. There was intermarriage in European families which resulted in medical problems like King George 3rd who probably suffered from a blood disease known as porphyria, or one we know so well -Toulouse Lautrec who suffered the stunted growth of the marriage of first cousins.
Many middle eastern nations today can point to 1500 years of intermarriage, common for Muslims. Insanity is only one of the possible outcomes of this. We can be glad King George was ill as a more vigorous English King might have won our revolutionary war.
Second, the Americans learned that no group of powerful people should select the nation’s leader. Oligarchies provided the unfortunate Italians with Nero and Diocletian who left their nation in moral and economic shambles.
The influence of Shakespeare
Third, they knew their Shakespearean plays, which the 15th century Brits were ribald soap operas based on English history. When Will wrote the tragedies of various Kings, Richard, and a group of Henrys, British play goers saw the history of their nation through these dramas and 200 years of Royals murdering each other’s children or other rivals. Hunchback Richard had two young cousins murdered in their beds.
Other rivals found themselves in the Tower of London, last stop before a beheading. The result was years of unrest and the constant threat of war with European nations, especially France. Blood and gore makes for good theater but not for daily life.
The issue of political succession Americans solved
This issue is one of succession – who will take over after the current leader dies or leaves office? The US Constitution mandates a smooth transfer of power. Of all the unique factors about the Constitutions the peaceful succession is uncommon in other parts of the world. Think of the mess Venezuela is in right now. If you do not have a peaceful route for succession you face the possibility of a war at the end of every political leader, which is what ore than often happens.
Fourth, a state-mandated religion caused conflict. Henry the 8th we’ve all heard about – he rid himself of 6 wives all because the Roman Catholic church’s Pope said he could not divorce a wife. But Henry wanted a male heir.
Henry the 8th would be surprised
After all these years and wives, God had the last laugh. A daughter survived and Queen Elizabeth the First managed to give some stability to her nation. But the conflict between religions continued. The only cure would be freedom of religion for all, which the wise Americans made not the 2nd or the 3rd amendment to the Constitution, but the first!
Who spends of taxes, divided authority
The fifth issue involved money. Monopolies lead to unchecked power so leaders with unlimited authority take as much money as they can, (these days they just print it) impoverish the nation, and finance wars, always fought by other people, that is, the people who are not national leaders. To mitigate this the Constitution divides authority into three sections, administration, judicial and legislative.
Then the Legislature is also divided into two parts in most states. This arrangement forces officials on both sides to compromise and if everyone wants the best for the country the result is fairly good law and management. This works so well other nations have copied it.
Seventh, people as individuals must be free to speak, assemble to form clubs and organizations, and to read newspapers and other media without government inference, and be free to move from one state to another. Only during wartime are their any constraints on the media. There are many “democracies” in the world today but most of them have a controlled press (Russia, China, North Korea), no secret ballot and no ability to move to the city to take a job.
Germany had a state financed Lutheran church until after World War 2. Great Britain still has no “bill of rights” as we do. Many nations are strictly Muslim – Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Pakistan, and many others. Only state-sanctioned Christian churches are permitted in China and certain doctrinal requirements demanded. For example, Christian Pastors must teach that all people go to heaven which is absolutely not part of the Holy Bible. No Christian material can be printed in China and the rules against Christians are becoming more onerous, even to the burning down of churches.
We are right to conclude that the world wants to flee their home country for America when you consider how peaceful it is in comparison to other nations but it only works if they leave their failing systems behind and accept and adjust to a new way of viewing government.
There is a good bit of activity these days to change the Constitution without realizing that every change brings back a problem that was originally recognized and addressed by the Congress that wrote it originally. Socialism, for example, does not work because it allows a reward for indolence. If our forefathers can learn from others’ mistakes, so should we. https://www.theepochtimes.com/why-the-magna-carta-still-matters_2948673.html
This is a topic about which few people write. But the Bible is clear; in addition to individual judgment, nations will be called to account. Does this happen after the end of time, during time, or some other time? Perhaps all three.
Let’s look at the map. China is the largest single nation in terms of population on the face of the earth. It is rife with poverty and lack of rain. In spite of the fact that China has been a distinct national group she has been a land of war for the better part of 4,000 years. All their pride in longevity does not erase the the reality of failure in so many ways. But look at what China did.
China swiped two nations, Mongolia, which is about the same age as China, and Tibet. That happened around 70 years ago and the wounds and anger have not subsided. You can be sure when things do not improve God’s word has been violated in some way. Here is the scripture.
Acts 17:26 And He has made from one blood[a] every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
The Greek word in this passage is “ethnos” meaning an ethnic group of some kind, usually based on language.
God says nations must not grab and from others
In other words, keep your hands off another nation, their people and their land mass. Period. Because China was weakened by civil war, the Japanese got their hooks into China in the 1930s perpetrating great evil on the Chinese people – and look what happened to Japan at the end of World War II.
Germany got greedy and took Austria, Poland, Italy and France, headed towards England, Spain, Russia and the rest of the Slavic nations. Look at what happened. Germany was basically destroyed. Only the work ethic of Germans brought it back, and Germany did apologize for its anti-Semitic behavior finally.
A public apology helps
Japan has not apologized, and she continues to move 3 steps forward and 2 back decade after decade. Not only has Japan not apologized for its wickedness (think of the Rape of Nanjing 1937) http://www.historyplace.com/worldhistory/genocide/nanking.htm
but Japan is now romancing Mongolia because she wants land and Mongolia is the largest land-locked nation on the globe. The Mongolians have reason to be angry at China and they might just welcome Japan. The Chinese have reason to be nervous once more.
Evil leaders mean trouble
Then there is North Korea, a dying nation with reports of cannibalism. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2013/02/05/the-cannibals-of-north-korea/
China created this false barrier against the Japanese and the Americans, and North Korea has been a threat, much of that hot air, ever since. North Korea needs to return to its natural language fold – and will according to many modern prophets. [see KimClement.com]
Is anyone more miserable than the Muslims? See the constant wars in the Middle East. The Islamic religion (Koran) says that Islam will take over the whole world, or death to non-believers, called “infidels” a simple, direct theology which is creeping into every nation. But their losses continue. They kill at random, esp. women and children. Allah is descended from the ancient god of war. https://www1.cbn.com/churchandministry/1400-years-of-christian-islamic-struggle
How can a group survive if they kill off both the next generation and the women who will produce children? Don’t try to answer that one. Death is not a solution to the world’s problems. God says He wants life,
and life more abundantly. John 10:10
God’s plan is not abortion but life. Islam is going the exact opposite way from God.
The Middle East is a giant mess, politically and economically. When Egypt agreed to be at peace with Israel all was well. Now, no more. Egypt ended its provision of oil to Israel and the bottom dropped out of their own oil supply while Israel found 100 years of oil under their land. We say in Texas – Don’t mess with Texas. In Israel they say Don’t mess with Israel.
In fact there is a scripture for that.
Genesis 12:3 – (paraphrased) If you bless God’s people, He will bless you. If you curse God’s people God will curse you.
I’m not saying this because I am a Christian and an American – but because I have read the Word and I know what it says. More importantly, I know God means it and He won’t change His mind. Period.
You are not convinced? Look at Africa’s 200 years of constant wars. The Muslims in Sudan fought for South Sudan with much killing and terror. But South Sudan was able to separate itself as an individual nation in 2012 and is very prosperous. Now North Sudan is separate and living in poverty. That is what war does. It brings poverty and poverty is another sign of God’s displeasure.
So God continues to judge those nations which out of order and not working for the good of their own people and that of other nations.
When Jesus died in Jerusalem the event went almost unnoticed to the throngs of people there for Passover. This is often the case with momentous events. Their seriousness is realized years, maybe decades later.
A large group denied God
In the future you will note the astonishing events of September 6, 2012 when the Democratic Convention denied God – three times. The video is clear. By voice vote – an essential element in this tale – the word God which had been removed was to be voted back in. Three times the noisy crowd said no. But the obedient convention chairman, reading the tele-prompter said by 2/3rds vote the return of the word God was endorsed. A politically wise Obama had demanded an over-ride of the vote. The verbiage was innocuous at best – it simply cited “God-given” potential, a sentence seen in previous convention platforms.
But what the American people saw was that an entire political party had clearly said no to God. For this there are consequences.
Denying God is common
First – God counts what we say. He created the universe with words; we create our universe with words. We are saved by public confession of our submission to His Lordship.
Luke 6:45 Good people do good things because of the good in their hearts. Bad people do bad things because of the evil in their hearts. Your words show what is in your heart.
Second, those who deny must make things right later on. Ask the disciple Peter. He denied Jesus three times and lost his discipleship in the process. The angel said in Mark 16:7 to notify the disciples and Peter. Peter is not considered one of the disciples in this sentence. But Peter will regain his post. Here is the scripture.
Matthew 26:75 Peter remembered Jesus’ words, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.” And Peter went out and cried uncontrollably.
The Process to Make Things right
It was necessary for Peter to affirm the Lordship of Jesus three times before he was reinstated.
John 21:16 He then asked a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
“Yes, Master, you know I love you.”
Jesus said, “Shepherd my sheep.”
Then he said it a third time: “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was upset that he asked for the third time, “Do you love me?” so he answered, “Master, you know everything there is to know. You’ve got to know that I love you.”
What, let us speculate, if Peter had died of a sudden aneurysm prior to reaffirming Jesus? Would he be in heaven or hell? I think Peter answers that question himself.
2 Peter 2:1 But among the people there were also false prophets, just as there will be false teachers among you. Under false pretenses they will introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and thus bring on themselves swift destruction.
In Jewish law (not Biblical law) a man can divorce his wife by saying, aloud, “I divorce you.” And off she goes- no monthly stipend, no nothing. A child can be emancipated by the same process according to laws I read a few years back. If you deny parentage of that child and the court frees him from your rule in a twist of fate, you have to support him or her anyway. You don’t hear much about emancipation these days but the laws are there and social workers have studied them.
Judaism, Jerusalem and the Holocaust also denied
In addition the final platform removed reference to Jerusalem as the capital city of Israel. There should be little quarrel with this. The Jews place Jerusalem as the capital and the choice goes all the way back to King David, thousands of years ago. https://www.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/Netanyahu-Archaeology-DNA-prove-Palestinians-not-native-to-Land-of-Israel-594872
Now we really have God’s attention. Genesis 12:3 says those who bless you (the Jews) I will bless and those who curse you I will curse. The Muslims have decided that Tel Aviv is the capital of Israel and their plan is to take over all of Israel and make Jerusalem their own, and rename it Ishmael by the way! That is equivalent to cursing God’s people. Insulted twice.
Denying something has no power to make it go away
Registered Democrats even though they did not take part in this convention or support the convention’s removal of the name of God are still legally responsible for the actions of their party. They denied the Lord 3 times- verbally, openly, for the whole nation to see – and Israelis and our foreign enemies were watching too.
To reverse the curse, affirm God three times
We can start counting the three times the Democratic Party now must affirm God. The ugly truth is now out of the bag.
It may be decades before we see the full consequences, but from God’s standpoint, 9/6/12 was as important an assault as 9/11.

Originally published Februay 27, 2016 I have renamed it abuse to cover the main issue in violent and destructive behavior. Ultimately abusers do not know who they are and consequently they fail to recognize the personhood of those they abuse, including animals. It was originally entitled The Spiritual Roots of Islam.
Westerners have been for many centuries so isolated and separated from Muslim peoples that we are playing catch-up in our understanding. We are hampered because we frequently don’t know a thing about our own spiritual roots, any more than we know theirs. It is easy to blame them for the massive evil on the earth, especially in Europe but their ways are creeping more into American life.
Abuse has a long history
At one time in the deep historical past, all men knew the same things. They may not have obeyed those truths, but they were all on the same page. They knew that God had created the heavens and the earth; they knew that a blood sacrifice was required for reuniting with that Creator God. They knew that if you took a life, yours would be required of you. This was prior to the Jews and their complete religious and social law. Everyone even had the same language.
Languages separate people
After the languages changed culture changed and those assumptions, even though ignored, were gone and religious systems, magic, witchcraft, myth and Lord only knows what arose. And out of Judaism arose Islam. Today’s Islamic peoples do not know this, but their political-religious system is based on a lie. Before we condemn them remember when you learned that you had been lied too? You were furious – felt betrayed.
So for the moment ignore the fact that millions of Islamic believers are ignorant and deceived. It’s the roots we are examining here, not modern man. We’ll get to him in due time.
Two worldviews based on either truth or lies
The lie started with the birth of Ishmael, the first son of Abraham who had been promised by God that he would be the father of many nations when his wife Sarah had a baby boy. As it would happen, Sarah became impatient and suggested that her husband have a child by a slave woman.
The Islamic nations now living descended from their patriarch Ishmael believe that because he is the first son, they are entitled to the promise God gave Abraham. He is not. God’s promises are specific and not open to interpretation or change. (Malachi 3:6 – I am the Lord. I change not.) Sarah had to be the mother of Isaac. Period.
It is an important point. God considers women important and gives them the equal right so to speak, to be involved materially in his kingdom. The greatest abuse of women and girls can be found in cultures that are neither Jewish nor Christian. God thinks the mother counts as much as the father in the family line. But I digress.
Thousands of years of Jew vs. Muslim fighting began. We in the West paid virtually no attention to it because it did not impact us very much. And Americans as a people have tended to address issues only after they become egregiously bad, so bad in fact that it takes much longer to solve them.
Islam vs. Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson, our 3rd President, sent the Marines to Tripoli to deal with the Muslims. Spain had to throw them out, as is happening now in Europe. They have bombed and fought their way west having been told by their religious leaders that they are going to rule the whole world for Islam, by hook or crook.
Islam is a theocracy
Their religious book, the Koran, tells them it is acceptable to kill Christians (infidels) or in fact anyone else who disagrees with them. Those are the simple facts and have nothing to do with my opinion or yours. Out of this lie has come forth all the evils we see in our headlines – beheadings, killing babies, stoning to death women who wear makeup or drive a car, in what is a complete disregard for the value of life. Life means nothing in the face of theological doctrine.
The Political Spirit
The international elevation of Islam as a violent political system which drives and feeds on evil is the natural child of a massive lie. Truth begets truth; lies beget lies in increasing number. If you have ever lied you know how hard it is to keep up with them; it takes more lying to do so. It’s exhausting. We have no reason to believe any of this will change in modern life.
It is true that large numbers of Muslims have become Christians. JewsNews on Facebook informs us of a continued stream of Muslims becoming Jews. Apparently the violence and the complete breakdown of life in the Middle East has prompted these changes.
Most people do not want to die, or see their homes, families and all they have worked for destroyed. This has not happened as much in the USA where we have a more structured civil society. But many Muslims still want and believe in a governmental takeover, so we must not assume they are willing to play by our Constitutional rules when they come here. The root of the system is still a lie, and until that lie is broken the problem will continue.
Modern Muslims have added two principles which make things even worse. (1) Taqqiya: Islamists interpret their scripture to say that they are allowed to lie about the nature of Islam in order to further their political goals. (2) Abrogation allows Muslims to ignore a previous Koranic passage in favor of a newer, better one. This essentially negates all verses that were written before the abrogation. It also means you as an outsider have no way of knowing what the rule actually is. So laws can be made up on the spot.
This kind of behavior allows middle aged men to “marry” girls of 5 and 6 years for a short period of time, and then un-marry them. The results are pure wickedness, as often these children die from the sexual experience. If Sharia Law becomes standard anywhere in the USA you can be sure lawlessness will ensue. Thanks to abrogation, it can change without notice and you are all of a sudden guilty.
Stark Contrasts help us to rethink
Now we are at the bottom of this business. If we in America had not been required to face this culture of death and its worldview we might not be able to understand ourselves and America’s role in the world. Islam has rejected the Law of God both as it applies to Jews and more importantly as it applies to all men.
People as Things
If you do not believe that God created the heavens and the earth, and therefore all other humans, then what is a tiny child? She is a “thing.” This is called the reification of persons, making a human being a thing. When that happens, the sky for evil is the limit. And sex trafficking is an example of the depths of depravity to which mankind can descend. https://www.theepochtimes.com/why-is-it-hard-to-bust-human-traffickers_2338465.html
Before we congratulate ourselves on our superior culture let me remind you that countless millions of American babies, mere “things” have been destroyed since 1962 Roe v. Wade. In addition we have increased drug, alcohol, and porn here at home, an indication people don’t know who they are or what they are doing to God’s creation, their own body.
They think of themselves as things. Marriages break down because husbands think their wives, as things, should perform as things. If they don’t they are replaced by other things. Some women even believe this and allow themselves to be abused. Some men have 4 marriages before they figure this out.
Justification of evil
Sex perversion is not an issue to Thing People because the body is simply a short-term asset for a short-life so the consequences of evil behavior in this life have no impact. If you get STDs or oral cancer from oral sex, so what? You were going to die anyway of something. By the time an adult nurtured on these lies of origin wises up, it is too late to change the consequences of immoral living. The person who believes he is a thing, should he live long enough, may become totally depraved. Workers in mental institutions will verify this.
Fortunately the demands of modern life are such that people may come to a quicker realization of their predicament. They may not be able to change their minds completely, but at least they realize that the fruits of that lifestyle are not leading to the pursuit of happiness.
Theology for the lawless
At the root of this malaise is the theory of evolution which negates the principle that God created everything. Evolution is unproven; but that bothers no one if they want to abandon all morals and do anything they wish. For the lawless it is a perfect theology. And it has become the quasi-theology of our age thanks to an ever decaying educational system and the silly notion that ideas don’t count. Evolution allows us to deceive ourselves that there are no consequences for behavior. If the moral law is invalid then I can do pretty much as I please. Whatever feels good! We see anarchy everyday now, shootings and marches, burning buildings, lootings and shoplifting. Some political figures make their living stirring up trouble.
Jesus never asked How do you feel?
We are being ruled by emotions. Unhappy people are routinely asked How do you feel? Jesus never said that even one time. He said ” What do you think?” Thinking precedes action. Feelings are a reaction. For that I suggest Dr. Phil. Feelings have no power to break the lie over a life.
How do you break the power of a lie- particularly one so strong that it makes demonic hirelings out of its most violent adherents?
There is no power against the Truth. That is why freedom of speech, religion, and assembly is not the last but the FIRST Amendment of the Constitution. The US Constitution is the set of rules we agree to live by. Without that we are powerless to preserve our lives. It means we should not allow others to shut us up. or change the Constitution wily-nily.
Abuse is political, global, theological, universal
Of course it will have repercussions – it always does. Other people’s lack of understanding should not hamper your behavior. If you know what you know, then you are free to repeat it. Churches have also gotten cold feet about the truth, but I notice that many of those are losing members. People have an ear for truth who actually want it, and will not finance fraud. I think we can expect some denominations to fade entirely.
Abuse is 13,000 years old
PBS featured a film of the oldest skeleton ever discovered in an area of northern Mexico. The 20-odd year old girl showed signs of physical abuse. So the mistreatment of human beings, thinking they are things, goes back to the very origins of mankind. https://www.theyucatantimes.com/2017/09/13000-years-old-ancient-skeleton-found-in-submerged-cave-near-tulum/
One of the major TV news stations reported, to their dismay, that over 70% of American young people believe in Biblical creation. Perhaps they had assumed that the mental conditioning which ignored basic truth had been replaced by the evolutionary thinking of amoral man. I breathed a sigh of relief. That is the first helpful prophetic idea I’ve heard in a long time. When people go back to the Biblical way of thinking there is hope even if they are not sure why. Thank you God.
Quick answer: They think it belongs to them as their inheritance through Ishmael.
Long answer: It belongs to the real heir, Isaac. The Bible records important dreams, including God’s promises. Abram, later named Abraham by God, got into a royal mess because he took a promise in a dream and tried to make it come true on his own. God promised Abram, then childless, that he would be the father of thousands. The temporary and consequently disastrous solution was to have a child through his house maid. That first son was Ishmael known today as those nations constituting the political religion of Islam. A few years later the 2nd and promised son Isaac, is born – the real heir.
In virtually every society except the USA blessings and rewards go to the eldest son, not the younger. You see the problem. Modern day Islam thinks it is entitled to the entire inheritance from Abraham and willing to strap bombs on their children to force the issue. Islam is avenging itself because of something that happened 3,500 years ago, and the likelihood these people will change their minds is Zero.
The land of Canaan (now Israel, formerly Palestine) goes to Isaac and his descendants, hence the battle over a tiny piece of land no bigger than New Jersey. And Europe who tried to pretend for decades that it was so magnanimous and egalitarian is now on High Alert. Iran, even though it is originally Persian, is also controlled by Islamic leaders and part of the enemies of Israel and the West.
See this map online. Tiny little Israel caught in the middle. Only God can help.
