2,600 year old Contract on the Jews

History does not, in this case, merely repeat itself; it is still very much in effect. 2,600 years ago in Persia (modern Iran) an egotistical political figure managed to engineer a way to destroy the entire Jewish people.  His name was Haman and he met an appropriate death – by hanging. gallows-858572__340 His contract, however, is still in effect today.  Iran still intends to destroy Israel and everyone in it, and such was the message of Bibi Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel.

Haman’s plan was foiled, and it will be again as God has made it clear –  Israel is Forever.  Fi e years ago feckless President Obama became a subsidiary agent of this contract of death by naively believing that Iran has only a need for utility power, and not obvious revenge on a tiny nation the size of New Jersey.  There is no evidence that Iran has changed its political goal of the total annihilation of tiny Israel. If anything it is much worse now that Iran is suffering from its aggressive policies towards the rest of the world. Iran promises have not turned out to be genuine.

There is no real context here.  The word of God says this clearly;

“The word of God abides (stands, endures, is in effect) forever.”  (Isa 40:8)

Iran may not like it; the nations may wish to change it but God will save His People.  He promised it and 10 million years from now His word will endure when not one other word can be found.  Israel will be saved as God promised when all other worlds, nations and leaders have perished.

The Queen Esther of 26 centuries ago came forward to challenge the death sentence and the King listened to her; today thousands of Americans, a new Queen, the Church of many Christians, is praying for the salvation of Israel, and so it will be.

Here is how God solved it back then.  He made a ruling that the Jews’ enemies would be destroyed, instead.  We can fully expect Him to do the same soon.

So you see, the saying “what goes around goes around” is not so new after all. The punishment fits the crime.

“Replacement” Theology and the 2 Israels

Behind everything that is wrong in this world there is a lie lurking in the bushes of belief.

“Supersessionism (also called fulfillment theology and replacement theology) is the belief that the Christian Church supersedes or replaces the Israelites in God’s plan, and that the New Covenant nullifies the biblical promises made to the children of Israel, including the “Abrahamic Covenant, the Land Covenant, and the Davidic Covenant” according to Wikipedia.

For many years, as the Jews were scattered over the face of the planet, one could almost believe that, esp. if they ignored the writings in the Old Testament.

God’s word on this, and on all matters regarding His Word, is in stone.

The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8

2 Corinthians 1:20 [Full Chapter]
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! Galatians 3:21

2 Peter 1:4 (God has) given to us exceedingly great and precious promises,

No wonder the first thing we are told as believers is to study the Bible!

All the promises of Yahweh are for all time, all the promises to Israel, to Christians and to the wicked, including wicked nations. Period. Have you ever wondered why Muslim nations have little other than money, and even their oil is running out? They curse Israel and the curse of Yahweh (Genesis 12:3) rests on them.

There are over 32,000 Bible verses and they stand forever. There are promises to a natural people, The Jews, and another set of promises for the spiritual people, the Christians. The Jews have a homeland, Israel, and the Christians have a home in heaven. Jews occupy their land; we are ambassadors for Christ while on earth, and are merely sojourners on earth.

When in 1948 the Jewish homeland reappeared after a 2,000 year hiatus (the Palestinians never did have a home land there, although they’d like to think so) any belief in replacement theology should have disappeared. In an almost magical fashion, the nation was preserved during impossible attacks from the 600,000 Muslims surrounding this tiny country the size of New Jersey. Since that time the restoration of this nation is an economic miracle.

Military men do not study the wildly successful history of Jewish military success because there are too many miracles associated with them. There is a set of videos on this topic available from Amazon called “Against All Odds.”

God gave the land of Israel with its capital Jerusalem to the Jews; He gave new Israel (the Christians) the new city of Jerusalem in heaven. On earth Christians are travelers or sojourners with no particular landed home.

There is a Biblical penalty for believing in replacement theology or anything that takes away Yahweh’s promises. It’s called a curse as Yahweh told Abraham:

Genesis 12:3
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

You cannot be more plain than that! {for curses see Deuteronomy 28}

Islam believes it is they who replace the Israelites. They have plans to defeat Israel and re-name it Ishmael. They have no entitlement to the land, and neither do the Palestinians who have never had a ruler in that land. Most of them were nomads from Jordan. Jordan is a nice country; maybe they could return.

And for related material see my blog, Why Muslims think they are entitled to the land of Israel, which is one of the top three of my posts.

Why does Islam (the Muslims) think they are entitled to the land of Israel?

The Bible’s Author

Every book contains a reference to its author. This book, made up of 66 individual books, 27 of which are the New Testament, recognizes the author as God Himself, that is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Since God can only use human beings for language He writes His book in the language of the scribe writing, Greek for most of the New Testament and Hebrew for most of the old, and as a result some of the personality of these scribes shines through.

2 Peter 3: 16 says

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

More importantly God stands behind every word.  It won’t go away, and even in spite of delays in timing, it will all eventually be accomplished.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”

Job Number One for the devil is changing, questioning or altering the Word of God in some way.re seen in Luke 4 and Genesis 2.

Luke 4 1-2 Jesus returned from the Jordan full of the Holy Spirit and he was led by the Spirit to spend forty days in the desert, where he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during that time and afterwards he felt very hungry.

“If you really are the Son of God,” the devil said to him, “tell this stone to turn into a loaf.”

Jesus answered, “The scripture says, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God’.”

5-7 Then the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of mankind in a sudden vision, and said to him, “I will give you all this power and magnificence, for it belongs to me and I can give it to anyone I please. It shall all be yours if you will fall down and worship me.”

To this Jesus replied, “It is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only you shall serve’.”

9-11 Then the devil took him to Jerusalem and set him on the highest ledge of the Temple. “If you really are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here, for the scripture says, ‘He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you’, and ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone’.”

12 To which Jesus replied, “It is also said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God’.”

13 And when he had exhausted every kind of temptation, the devil withdrew until his next opportunity.

These temptations will be yours as well the minute you decide to get serious about Jesus.  The media bombard us with carnal and God-avoiding propaganda every day. Our textbooks reflect the glory of man not of God. Our pundits spend hours speculating on the deeds of leaders, not one minute on the plans of God.

It goes on today on TV, newspapers, churches even, and general conversation. All faith is tested at the point of “who are you going to believe?” and it will always be so.

So, make up your mind about it and when you do, you will have stability in your life.
